Cedar Knoll to Host BBQ Fundraiser Event

Categories: Events | Posted: April 23, 2015

As spring slowly chugs along, here at Cedar Knoll, we are crossing our fingers for some fantastic weather as we gear up for a Spring BBQ Fundraiser Event in support of our local Amish Carpenter. Recently diagnosed with leukemia, the King Family’s daughter is looking at several hospital visits and hefty bills. Here’s how YOU can help your local community. On Friday, May 15th, Cedar Knoll will be closing up shop and serving our local community Chicken BBQ Meals at a cost of $10.00/meal. All proceeds to benefit the King Family.

Purchase your BBQ tickets for Friday, May 15th 11 – 6 pm. You can purchase your tickets here at our office on 1771 Limestone Road in Cochranville. If you would like to donate, we also have a donation drop box you can contribute to. We sincerely look forward to the event and with our local community support it will be a great day for all!

Nostalgic West Chester Dream Home

The year 2014 wrapped up many wonderful new homes and commercial construction projects that rolled into the spring of 2015. One of which was  completed just last month but with a friendship that has only just begun. Meet Mike and Sue, Custom Home Clients. After an unfortunate house fire, Mike lost his parents home along with all of their keepsakes and memorabilia. Both devastated from this loss but hopeful for the future, this lovely couple walked through our doors and a friendship immediately developed. The dream – rebuild his childhood home to what it once was and more.

After several plan meetings and site walk-thrus, it wasn’t long before the debris was being removed and the foundation poured. Light-hearted and easy to please, Mike & Sue often stopped in to share photos on the progress of their home. Not to discredit the photos, but the joy they brought in sharing them far outweighed the photos themselves!

A Computer Programmer by day and an Music and Fine Arts Artist by night, Mike now enjoys his spacious Kitchen with overhead lighting, Family Room with Masonry Fireplace and Home Office with Custom Bay Window that overlooks the backyard gardens where Sue can most likely be found. Built just off the stunning white kitchen is a lovely Custom Conservatory for all of Sue’s favorite plant specimens that will soon occupy her personal Longwood Gardens backyard refuge. The Conservatory consists of stone exterior with tile flooring and glass surround, perfect for star gazing and summer evenings on the patio.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, the photos of this home could provide pages of words, suffice it to say however, if one word could describe both this home and it’s owners, I would choose the word endearing.Custom Home 1Custom Home 2Custom Home 3
