Built-Ins, a growing trend in the home industry…

Categories: Honeycroft Village 55+ Active Living | Posted: April 5, 2019

Honeycroft Built-In IncentiveThanks to HGTV, Property Brothers and Magnolia Home, built-in shelving is still today a growing and desired trend in the home building industry. In a world where new homes can sometimes feel a little cookie cutter, built-ins provide that unique and cozy home appeal that adds so much character and life to any room. Moreover, built-ins provide lots of storage. They can also occupy an entire wall without making the room feel considerably smaller. Because they sit flush with your existing walls and furniture, they are sure to fit any style and help create a cohesive look throughout that can be coordinated with the rest of your home décor. So not only do built-ins look amazing in a home, but also they wonderfully minimize wasted space and help add storage opportunity where you might have never imagined possible. Who doesn’t want a little more storage these days?

All this being said, we felt the month of April was a great time to offer Free Built-In Shelving at our Honeycroft Village Active Adult Living Community. Now until April 31st enjoy spring savings with the purchase of your new cottage home with free built-in shelving units around your morning sunroom addition.

Cedar Knoll is a name you can trust, that is why we have several 2nd and even 3rd time homeowners.

  1. Multiple Floor Plans Available.

Honeycroft Village offers 8 floor plans to choose from, each convenient for your unique and personal lifestyle. Looking to drastically downsize? Choose from our list of twin cottages and/or smaller single-family homes starting in the mid $250’s. Looking for more livable square footage while planning for the future? The Tannon model might be just right for you! Our in-house draftswoman and senior designer, with you, the customer in mind has specifically crafted each beautiful home.

  1. Low-Maintenance Living.

When many people think of “low-maintenance” living, they think of snow removal, leaf removal, and basic lawn care. However, there is much more involved. The idea with worry-free living is just that worry-free living. The idea is to give you back your precious time and handle some of the yard work for you. This typically includes:

  • Shovel snow off sidewalks and driveways.
  • Professional lawn mowing service.
  • Fertilizing your lawn twice a year.
  • Blow grass clippings off sidewalks and driveways.
  • Spread mulch.
  • Edge the lawn along walkways and driveways.
  • Salt the roads and sidewalks with inclement colder weather.
  1. Active Living at It’s Best

One of the many benefits of 55 and over communities is the noted emphasis on physical fitness and activity. Honeycroft Village boasts a variety of activities that are fun and easy to do. 1. Customize Your Options

With a Cedar Knoll home you truly get to “customize your options.” Several builders like to advertise this but sadly oftentimes this looks more or less like “choose 4-5 of our selections.” With your new Cedar Knoll home, the sky is the limit! Afterall, you may be downsizing with your over 55 new home but you’ll want your home to have everything that meets your new and active lifestyle just right. Newly renovated and busting at the seams with options galore, our 2,000 sq. ft. Studio Design Center will leave you breathless. Not only do you get to personalize your plan of choice with out in-house draftswoman but you also get to personally select all of your “wish list” items. Barb is a wonder at her job, and we promise, together we will craft the home of your dreams and turn it into a beautiful reality.

  1. No Need to Be Retired

While many 55+ communities are often referred to as “retirement communities,” there is no reason to leave your job in order to enjoy living at Honeycroft Village. Residents can still be as active as they would like and in the time frame they would like. After all, retirement isn’t for everyone! Residents can enjoy traveling, volunteering or keeping an active lifestyle while comfortably knowing your home is in good hands and the responsibilities of home ownership are taken care of for you! Living at Honeycroft Village frees up your time, allowing you to do more of the things you love.

  1. A Convenient Location

When determining which 55+ community to live in there are several factors to consider; such as, your proximity to family, public transportation if needed for your work, and/or recreational activities and their location in reference to your home life. That is why at Honeycroft Village we feel living close to the necessary venues is of utmost importance. Located only seven miles to the Route 1 Bypass for daily commutes, less than an hour outside Philadelphia, Moccasin Run and Wyncote golf courses within a minutes drive, Wolf’s Hollow County Park just 5 miles away, local grocery venues less than 10 minutes in every direction, several local churches, and the Chester County hospital 45 minutes away – Honeycroft Village is your ideal location for charmed country 55+ living with all of your needed amenities only a stone’s throw away.

  1. More Time For the Things You Love.

When you invest in a 55+ community like Honeycroft Village where low-maintenance or worry-free living is the brand what you are really doing is investing more time for yourself and for the ones you love. Instead of shoveling snow every winter or cutting your lawn once even twice a week during the summer months, instead you will get to enjoy the things you love while we do the maintenance for you! Whether it’s golfing, traveling, running, reading, or visiting with friends and family you will rest easy knowing your home is taken care of.

  1. Friends in the Same Stage of Life.

There may be no other scenario of homeownership that accomplishes residency with neighbors sharing the same stage of life as living in a 55+ community. There are several benefits of living in a 55+ but for one, 55+ community living allows residents to more easily find like-minded individuals willing to participate in activities that promote quality of life with a healthy and active lifestyle. In most other scenarios this process can take months and even years to build thriving relationships. Within a 55+ community there is no need to search outside of your own neighborhood for community involvement and friends in the same stage of life.

  1. Sense of Community.

There is something unique and special about living in a 55+ community that you won’t necessarily find anywhere else. For one thing you are more likely to have common interest amongst your neighbors because you are in the same stage of life. There is a sense of community felt among the residents when choosing a 55+ community. This feeling can have a huge impact on one’s well-being and quality of life, thus adults living in these types of communities tend to know their neighbors really well and create lasting memories as a result. Some of the ways 55+ communities like Honeycroft Village can help build a sense of community are:

  • Connecting residents to their environment by fostering a sense of engagement within the community.
  • Organizing daily, weekly, monthly and special activities and events encourage sharing and fostering interests such as religion, book clubs, hobbies, and games.
  • Appreciating the fact that fellow residents may enjoy different interests or lifestyles but they are like “family” and so forth they watch out for one another.
