Living in our dream (and hopefully forever) home for nearly a year, we are very pleased to have collaborated with the team at Cedar Knoll Builders (CKB). Following is a bit of our story:

While shopping for land, my wife and I researched over fifty custom home builders in southeastern Pennsylvania. Through online reviews, websites, and, in certain cases, viewing examples roadside, we narrowed our search to three builders that we met with in person, following each meeting with exploring existing projects and communicating with references. CKB became a favorite early in our search, and it grew only more evident with each step that CKB was the right fit for us with the best mixture of positive reviews, solid construction standards, and the personal touch of working with a local builder.

Early in and throughout the process, the designer Barb immediately impressed us with her knowledge, vision, responsiveness, accommodation of our work schedules, and attention to detail, not to mention her amiability and professionalism. From beginning to end, it felt like working with a friend and advocate.

After waiting patiently for nearly two years until we found the right parcel, Barb, Amy (senior designer), and the CKB team iterated with us to convert an Excel-based layout we had been evolving for over a decade into a fully customized, actionable floor plan without sacrificing any of the unusual features we sought. From there, CKB communicated a budget to us and, once the build was about to begin, a timeline was conveyed as well. Both were adhered to throughout the process. There were no surprises on the timing or cost fronts, and we attribute that both to CKB’s good organization and experienced team and to the long-term relationships they have with their contractors. This combination of traits heavily mitigated the stresses that accompany a build – we always felt like we were in knowledgeable, capable hands.

Having experienced several new home builds personally or through immediate family, every build has its punch lists, hiccups, and change requests. Much to my angst as a careful planner, we even requested a significant change just before the build commenced, and CKB responded with a friendly, can-do attitude, accommodating said change without adverse timeline impacts or unexpected budget changes. We since bumped into a couple punch list items we considered urgent, and CKB (via their amazingly well-organized post-delivery customer service representative, Denise) again reacted with impressive rapidity and resolved everything to our satisfaction.

Certainly, one year is early in the process of getting acquainted with a new home, but we have been impressed thus far by the level of craftmanship and efficiency. I know that a builder does not fit every buyer's specific needs, but I think you would be doing yourself a disservice not exploring CKB. Consider meeting with Barb and the team, speaking with references, and checking out their existing work in person (model homes, etc.). I think and hope you will be impressed, as we were, and I wish you luck in your home building adventure.

My wife and I recently moved into one of your homes in the Pine View Estates Community. We couldn't be happier with the home and the service we received from your organization. It started with the enjoyable Sale process with Doug Chase who always was very patient with us and took the time on several occasions to walk through the model homes and answer all of our questions. Although Doug was our main contact, Corey Snyder was equally considerate and accommodating.  We also can't say enough good things about Barb Berkowich who was excellent in advising and recommending options. You will be happy to know that we spent far more in options then we had intended but don't regret any of the choices we made with Barb's assistance. 

Cameron Mayberry, your Project Manager of the community, has been equally a pleasure to deal with. Cameron is always willing and able to answer our questions. He has also followed up extremely well with your subs to complete or adjust certain items. Your subs are also very professional and extremely pleasant to deal with. I am specifically referring to your electrical contractor Kevin Walsh and Martins appliance. 

With employees such as these it is understandable how successful you are. Good help is hard to come by these days, you obviously treat them well.

When I first met with you to discuss having you build my new dental office, you were extremely professional and accommodating. You promised me that using your company, Cedar Knoll Builders, would turn out to be a very wise decision. I have worked with many builders in my lifetime, and all seem to make the same verbal promise, but never deliver in a professional manner. Your organization have clearly shown me that you are the ONLY builder who knows not only how to "Talk the Talk," but you actually "Walk the Walk." 

My new dental office is the most amazing and comfortable facility that I could have ever wished for. You have the most incredible professional crew, that I can't thank enough. Bill Camp, Ray Mckenna, Joe Rzonka, Craig Martin, Jeremy Mumau, and Robert Eick have all treated me continuously with the utmost of respect and professionalism. In a world where most business people only care about their next sale, you and your amazing team genuinely care about me and my success.

We had our first home built in Oxford in 2000. We tried to purchase a lot from Cedar Knoll because of their reputation. Unfortunately there were no lots that fit our needs. Then in 2018 we decided to downsize. This time we found exactly what we were looking for at Cooper Farm. Words can not express the happiness we have with our new home built by Cedar Knoll. Each and every person involved in this process were beyond professional, helpful and kind. No concern or question was too small or too large to be handled as quickly as possible. We would highly recommended Cedar Knoll Builders to any family members, friends and anyone who would be interested in a simply spectacular experience in building their new home.

We're loving the home you built for us and the neighborhood is just great with good neighbors, kids having fun, beautiful open space and all the things you like to see. Cedar Knoll is simply an outstanding home builder, with maximum construction quality using excellent designs, staff, subs, and oversight. Add trust to that and it's just what we were looking for!

The quality of home is beyond that which we have experienced in the other homes we have built. The design that we developed with the help of Barbara in the Design Center is exactly how we envisioned - and the sunsets here are spectacular! We have been fortunate to have been able to build a number of homes in the past - from working from scratch developing the plans to engaging with semi-custom homes. This has been, by far, the best experience we have had to date. Cedar Knoll - their employees - and each of the subs employed are not only extremely competent and professional but they are respectful of person and property. As I watch the framers working on the model home going up next to ours - I am amazed at the approach they take to framing. Their precision and concern for details is that often found in cabinet makers, not framers.

Christian was great to work with, he always responded to phone calls and e-mails promptly, and answered all our questions. Sue was always available for e-mails and phone calls as well, and answered any questions right away. Cameron was awesome as our Site Supervisor. He kept us informed of the process, what the county and state required, and what to expect throughout building. He was excellent at answering any and all questions, no matter how simple they may have seemed. He is aware that not everyone knows what goes into building a house, and was very good at explaining it in a simple way. Cameron and his crew built my family the house we have always wanted, and we will always be grateful to him, and Cedar Knoll Builders.

Linda and I originally chose the Wisteria as it had one floor living with all the room we needed. Having the second floor living space has been a great guest quarters for visitors and grand children. It has turned out to be the ideal home to live and entertain in. It is easy to maintain and very cost effective to operate. We love it and would not want any other floor model. Thank you for helping us be a part of this community.

Our Wisteria is a wide open design. It is very cheerful. The sunroom is where I enjoy my morning cup of tea. It's my favorite room. We chose the Wisteria design because it was a perfect fit for all our needs. The loft allows our guests to relax in their own private area. In the winter months we enjoy our evenings in front of the fireplace in our recently finished basement. We are very pleased with the overall construction and have enjoyed living at Honeycroft for the last five years. We couldn't have chosen a better community. Friends we have made at Honeycroft are wonderful caring folks."

As with many couples, once we decided to look for the perfect retirement home we had lots of things on our wish list: location, floor plan, quality of building, amenities such as pool, gym, lawn care, social opportunities, and many more. Our first visit to the model home happened to be the Classic Wisteria and we fell in love with the floor plan. Upon close inspection, the quality of the build was obvious, and the more we investigated the more items on our list were satisfied. Their openness to further customize the floor plan ensures each home has been personalized to reflect the buyer. From the moment we signed on the dotted line everyone we dealt with from the realtor, the designer, the site foreman, the customer service representative, to all the service people the builder uses have been nothing less than professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. We have lived here almost two years and look forward to many happy years in the future.

We moved into a new Cedar Knoll home in the family-friendly Wheatland Farms neighborhood in September 2017. From the quality of the construction, to the quality of the customer care (especially Denise and Dave), to the best-in-class contractors they use, the workmanship is unparalleled. We have been in several other homes from the big builders and the attention to detail that Cedar Knoll exhibits far outweighs anything we have seen before. We look forward to a life-long relationship with the company.

Choosing someone to build your house is a big decision for some. For us there was no question about whom we would choose. The most important quality about a builder is trustworthiness, and when the leader of a company has your full trust, you know that those under him are worthy of respect. Knowing a company follows Christian standards and has the same beliefs as you do is something that is not commonly found and makes a world of difference. Being able to trust that those individuals who are helping you along every step of the building process are of utmost importance. Every person at Cedar Knoll has been incredibly kind and lived up to the great expectation of trust we began this process with. We were helped to stay within budget while being guided into creating our dream home! From the planning to the decorating details, Cedar Knoll has made our dreams of building a house become a reality!

It is difficult to put into words how grateful we are for everything you did to make this home affordable for us! This home is so much more than I ever imagined. My one son likes to ask me, "Mom, what part of the house do you like the best, and I always say - "Everything!" Not only is the house amazing, but every person at Cedar Knoll who we have dealt with has been so helpful and courteous. The whole process has been nothing but positive.

After living in Texas for the past 18 years, we decided we wanted to "come home" to Chester County and be near our family. We knew we wanted a 55+ community and spent a great deal of time researching the area. We saw the Tannon floor plan on the Honeycroft Village website and knew that was what we were looking for. During one of our trips to visit our son, we visited Honeycroft Village. Lisa Rowe, our sales representative, showed us around and was very helpful answering all our questions. After seeing the community and the Tannon, we knew this was the place for us. The reputation of Cedar Knoll Builders for their quality workmanship was an important factor in that decision. We were unable to visit the site during construction; however, Cameron, the site supervisor, along with Lisa and Barb Berkowich from the design center, kept us well informed of the progress during the entire construction process. They treated us with a genuine interest in providing a home that we would be proud of. The residents of Honeycroft are very friendly and welcoming. We have only been here 3 months, but we are very happy with the community and love our new home.

We moved from WI to PA one year ago to be closer to our children and our grandson. We decided we wanted to live in a "55 and better" community so we would be able to make new friends. We looked at several developments and chose Honeycroft Village because we liked the style of homes, the quality of the builder, the beautiful area and the social activities offered. We built the Linden and couldn't be happier. The reputation of Cedar Knoll Builders was a main factor in building here in Honeycroft. The quality of craftsmanship is unsurpassed by any of today's builders. When we walked through the model homes, we recognized immediately Cedar Knolls attention to detail. Having been in the construction trade for 20+ years, I knew every phase of the construction process was done with the quality of the finished product a priority. Everybody during the building process was friendly and answered any questions we had making sure we completely understood. They treated us with a genuine interest in providing a home we would love. We are thrilled to be living here!

Building a home is a daunting task that can become overwhelming without good guidance, trust in the builder and a mutual understanding of what to expect. Cedar Knoll Builders delivered on all three aspects needed to make our future home the one we envisioned. They respected us by answering all our questions no matter how trivial they might have been or how busy they were at the time. I have been in my Cottage home for a little over 2 years now and I am just as excited to "come home" now as I was when I first moved in! The materials used and quality of construction created a home that reflects the knowledge and experience of the builders and the creativity and comfort that they allowed me to work with them on during the building process. I could not be more pleased with my home, so much so, four months after I moved in, I talked my mother into moving in - down the street!
